3-day tour
Day 1 - Tuesday, July 20, 2010:
The day's journey will begin with an ultimate destination of Bayfield, WI, and the Apostle Islands.
Our first stop along the way will be in Marathon County, WI, for a tour of the
Ginseng Capital of the World. Then we'll continue on to Minocqua to stop at
Paul Bunyan's Restaurant to enjoy your
delicious noon lunch (included). Then it's on to our hotel, the Bad River Casino & Hotel at
Odanah, to receive the casino perks for groups.
Day 2 - Wednesday, July 21, 2010:
Breakfast is included at the hotel. On this morning we will travel to Bayfield, where a step-on
guide will give us a tour of the city's historic district. Later, we will have our noon luncheon
at the Old Rittenhouse Inn, a beautiful Victorian mansion completed in 1890 that provides
year-round dining. You will enjoy their verbal menu presentation, along with their freshly baked
breads and desserts. Our visit will conclude with a guided tour of the Inn.
In the afternoon, weather permitting, we will take a tour of Madeline Island and the Madeline
Island Historical Museum, including transportation across the sparkling clear waters of Lake
Superior aboard the Madeline Island Ferry. Aboard the ferry, you can also view the other Apostle
Islands in sight. At the museum, view three centuries of Wisconsin history represented by
artifacts dating from the days of the first Native American inhabitants, to the boom days of the
Northwoods. Upon returning to our hotel, we will receive the casino group perks.
Day 3 - Thursday, July 22, 2010:
Breakfast is included at the hotel. Breakfast included at our hotel. After some free time in the
morning, we'll depart our casino/hotel and journey home with wonderful memories of our Apostle
Islands Adventure.
